The mansion in Neo-Renaissance style had been built for the Saxon royal chamber singer Therese Malten at the Opera House Semperoper of Dresden in 1893. After it had been lovingly and expensively renovated by the art dealer José Manuel Ladrón de Guevara in 1997, we bought the house in 2004 to live there and to furnish luxurious guest rooms on the upper floor. We wish our guests talk to each other when meeting in the room with a fireplace and in the well equipped and neat kitchen. 



The mansion is situated on a plot of 8000 sq.m, towards the river Elbe merging into a forest. From some places in the garden, which is also at the visitors’ disposal, you have, especially in winter, wonderful views of the river Elbe, the vineyards on the opposite side and the castle Schloss Pillnitz.

Nearby attractions and activities:

Despite the idyllic and very quiet surrounding, you can quickly reach the city of Dresden through a beautiful walk of 5 minutes and 28 minutes by tram. It would be roughly 20 minutes by car. You can easily reach the city of Dresden as well as Pirna (beautiful old city centre and “Gate to Saxon Switzerland”) via the Elbe path for cyclers (circa 10 km).

Directions:

Traffic route: From the Highway A 17 it are 7 km to our house. From the airport or train station you can reach our house with the streetcar/tram line and the bus. From our house it takes approximately 25 minutes to the center of Dresden with the streetcar. If you want to cycle along the beautiful Elbe cyclepath it are 12 km to the old city. Also Pirna (old city and gate to the Saxon Switzerland ) is only 10 km away. Make sure not to miss a tour on the Elbe with one of the paddle-steamers!
